If you know how to do it and you have the tools.. then do it yourself and save the 300ish dollars from having someone else do it. Much more gratifying to do it yourself IMO

About jacking up the motor.. I've heard some can get away without having to. However, for the most part of what I've read.. you usually have to raise the motor a little.

I had to jack the passenger side just a little and made the passenger side install a lot easier. Just support your mottor on the oil pan and drop the motor mount ot raise the motor mount an inch or so. The header will slide in easily. I had a friend help me do this and had no problems lifting the motor.

Header install time for a knowlegeable person should take a full days work with the right tools. Just make sure you got every wrench before you start and you should be alright.
