Installing Engine??

Would it be easier to lay the headers in the engine bay before I install the engine.I just got through painting my engine bay and don't want to chance scratching the paint installing headers.Plus it just seems like it would be easier but I thought i'd see if anybody else has done it and how was it?By the way the headers are Hooker long-tubes.
Thanks,
JE

Re: Installing Engine??

When i did mine (granted they are shorties) we put em on the engine and then put the engine in. We also installed the engine from the bottom tho, not sure how your putting yours in. Someone else will chime in with more of an answer.

Re: Installing Engine??

i did mine out the bottom, and had no problem installing it complete, headers, accesories and all...through the top is tough, i doubt you can get it in there with the headers on...ide get the motor in, but still not on the mounts, still hangin on the hoist above the motor mounts...and then slide in the headers
