Installing Coil

Installing Coil

When putting the bracket that holds the coil back on the head, should the coil be on top or should the piece under it be on top? Like here. When I took mine off, the coil was on top, but every other picture I have seen is like the one above. Or does it really matter?

Mine is just like the picture, with the ICM on top and the coil on the bottom.

Hmm... That's weird. Yours is the same year as mine, too.

Same here, but i dont think it matters.

should not matter,of course the battery gives the spark,and you can actually push the car to start with a dead battery.or it could be the opti

Curious why you mention' starting the car with a dead battery' when that wasn't the question..
Also, you are wrong about 'push starting the car to start it with a dead battery'
I suggest you go try that sometime.. it won't.. [electric fuel pump for starters.. also the PCM, injectors, coil, opti, etc. need juice..]
That kind of stuff ended in the 70's
