installed tune and msd opti still skipping

Im lost. Could the coil icm sending unit make it lose power? My friend left two plug wires unhooked could the plugs have fouled after running 5 minutes? The fuel pump is brand new the sending unit isn't. The icm and coil haven't seen 1000 miles yet. Im so irritated right now. The tune helped massively but still runs like crap under load

Maybe you have done it, but I would start with the basics and check all the connections and make sure nothing is loose of not on all the way. Just something simple like a vacuum leak will cause issues that will drive you crazy tracking them down.

No vacuum leaks at all. We disable egr smog pump air. Plugged all unused vacuum fittings. What about bad fpr ? Im about ready too lose it. 17k later and car still runs like a ford escort. Gonna replace the icm because i know it wasn't the right one. Its for 96-97 ltx and a buddy of mine who works at advanced auto brought it too the shop. Said they were identical except the one for the 93 had too be ordered and it cost twice as much. I honestly don't think this is the problem though because the car ran great for two months before i had the major mods.

Pull each plug and inspect the porcelain for cracks.

Plugs only were ran for 5 minutes. Im wondering if they're getting blown out before it burns the fuel off? I've never changed the fpr which means its probably original.

Let it sit overnight. The two plugs that fouled must've cleaned out. The cam makes it feel like its skipping. The transmission shifts it way too early and that's why it feels like its lacking power. Once itbhits 5k its got you glued too the seats. Running pretty damn good. Plus i has vacuum leak off the tb so im sure that played a huge part in it. Hopefully it stays running excellent

I am pretty sure you can find the fpr testing on here.

A little off topic but have you tried the nitto nt05 drag radials? They have unbelievable traction.

Depends on the size really. I've used Nittos, Hoosiers, BFGs, and the best hooking drag radial are the MT ET Street Radials I have in my sig.

There was a shootout with 315 mt's vs 275 nitto nt05's and on the camaro it ran its best times with the nitto's at 16 psi. Im not sure of the magazine but ill try and find the link

I probably missed it...but you definetly need a 93 icm..there are differences..it will casue the engine to not run on all 8 cylinders..93 is by itself,94 itself,95,96,97 are the same..hopefully you got it figured out.

Had the same problem with mine and it was the injectors being clogged. Worth a check at least.
