Install LTs while doing H/C?

I plan on doing heads cam, some time before I plan on replacing the fuel pump. Would it be easier to do Long tubes before or during h/c? It doesnt look that bad to intall while the heads are off, almost like they would just drop in place. Any input?

I'd do them at the same time, why unbolt/rebolt the headers twice.

Took me maybe 20 minutes to install hooker LTs with the heads off but thats because I had been working on my car for FAR too many hours to think clearly.

I tried to do the same thing, heads/cam/LT's at same time. Driver's side was cake w/o the head on--was able to let the LT lay there, bolted on the head and then the LT. Problem was the Passanger side, even with the head off there wasn't a way to set the LT in place and still get to the bottem head bolts . I tried for hours and couldn't do it--ended up doing it the traditional way which was a huge PITA (had to jack the motor up, took forever). Good Luck!

Good point, what I'm wondering is, how bad would it be just to jack up the short block instead of an entire long block? I have seen guys upgrade to ported heads in cam only cars and both headers are left in place. So I mean with the heads off I imagine it would make it some what easier.
