what is the best gear install kit, i just bought motive 3:73.
and was lookin at the install kits from thunder racing and cant deside which install kit to order. my car has 80,000 miles so i was wondering if i need the kit that rebuilds my rear end. im not shure

That's the kit I'm planning to get when I get my 3.42s installed.

 

I got the complete Ratech rebuild set from thunder racing when I changed gears and put in an auburn posi. Parts were good, no missing pieces. Thumbs up on this one, but I would say any rebuild kit from a reputable manufacturer would be fine..

As for a complete rebuild, not sure, I would say it can't hurt if you can afford it.. regardless, while you are at it toughen up the rear a bit with a solid pinion spacer and stiffened cover.
