Re: install document for new edebrock lt4 manifold
I particularly like this part:
And they're concerned about coolant leaks from the LTx manifold:
For 1992-97 GM LT1 Engines - Catalog #7107
For 1994-95 GM LT4 Engines - Catalog #7109
For 1994-95 GM LT4 Engines - Catalog #7109
And they're concerned about coolant leaks from the LTx manifold:
GASKETS: Do not use competition-style intake gaskets for this street manifold. Due to material deterioration over time, internal leakage of vacuum, oil, and coolant may occur.

Even if it isnt a upgrade, it is a replacement for the now overpriced LT4 intake. I dont see Edlebrock putting their name on anything that offers NO improvement over the stock LT1 intake. If they do people will definately make it known. no company wants their name splashed all over the net for making a bogus product. Especially a company like Edlebrock.

Not everyone uses the intenet like we do to do reseasrch and MANY will "feel" a gain just because of the name. Granatelli and Hypertech have their following yet most of us here know them to be JUNK.
On LS1Tech an Edelbrock employee posted that their heads get some light grinder work after casting and end up flowing 16cfm more than stock, he posted that as if it were good, hell they market a heads and cam package that produces LESS than 400FWhp when several vendors here are capable of getting you that at the rear wheels.
Edlebrock and many other aftermarket companies are struggling to produce worthwhile products since the rebirth of the horsepower wars in the early 90s, today it is name that sells them parts not results. Their Gen1 stuff can be good but with the LT1 GM did a lot better leaving less room for improvement.
