Input wanted on 383 build
Input wanted on 383 build
Im thinking about turning my 355 project into a 383 project if I can squeeze the funds. Im looking at the Eagle 4353375057LA light weight forged 3.75" crank and Eagle CRS6000BLW light weight forged H-Beam rods. Now I have no clue what pistons to run. What are some good forged budget pistons? I've got a set of Trickflow GenX 195cc heads that have been gasket matched. They are 62cc combustion chambers. Im wanting a high compression build some wheres around 12.0-1 ratio. Should I use a domed piston an keep the 62cc chambers or should I mill them down and use a flat top? Any input is great. Thanks

So after a lot of looking I believe I'm gonna go with forged Probe 14106-030 light weight pistons. For $455 with rings it's a hard deal to beat. So here's the build plans:
Crank: Eagle 4353375057LA 3.75" light weight forged crank
Rods: Eagle CRS6000BLW 6" light weight forged H-Beam rods
Pistons: Forged Probe 14106 .030 over
Heads: Trickflow GenX 195cc
Intake: Ported Stocker
Cam: something custom
What do you guys think?? Good set up or no?

Eagle is not the greatest crank. There have been a few members that have had snout issues and other issues (pilot bearing area) if I remember right. The problem is they suck at QC in their hut they build them in.
