i have a ticking noise coming from under my hood and i can't figure out what it is coming from, it allmost sounds like a rocker arm is loose but when i took my intake off to fix the leak all the pushrods were snug. I have heard that injectors can make a simmular noise, is this common? The car has around 179 k on it, so they might be wearing out ???

 

Yes the injectors do make a ticking noise as they open and close, if you have a stethoscope you can hear them individually.

If one is excessively loud that could be a problem, but I think they usually just stop ticking when they freeze up and quit.

 

So if i'm going to replace the stock 24 # injectors i might as well go with some 30# ones(with programing), i'm planing on going with a cc306 and heads in the next year so would these be big enough?
