Injectors for 396 Stoker

Just wondering what some of you guys are running. I have noticed a lot of people running 30 lb/hr injectors, which is what I run. In the 1/8 mile, my duty cycle pegs over 100.

Anybody out there running larger injectors with more success. I am thinking of 42 lb/hr injectors. With the new solid cam, and DP Fogger I don't want fuel to be an issue.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig

If you are running 100% duty cycle then you need bigger injectors. Ideally, you would like to be around 85% duty cycle.

I spoke with the guys that build Baxter's, Injuneer's and McMullen's rides (Second Street Speed) and they recommended 42-lb injectors for my N/A 383 motor. They felt that the larger size was not a big deal, if the PCM was programmed properly.

Thanks for the info. Let me know what kind of injector offsets and other misc. fuel tuning that ends up working for you.

I just ran into this problem, I was running 24 # SVO with my 396 stroker. At 6200 rpm, my injectors were at 106%. I bought 30 # SVO and re-programmed the computer for the injectors. I'm now at 76% at 6200 rpm. The 30lbs injectors are big enough for me and they are only $239 thru summit.
