Injector Sizes - When is big too big?

I know a rough idle and drivability problems may occur when selecting an injector that is too big for an engine. But when does this occur?
I'm considering getting the Ractronix 32# ones, and would like to plan for the future, but I don't think I'll be making > 350 hp any time soon.
I'm concerned with my fuel economy and adversly affecting my idle. I will of course be reprogramming the computer to match the installed injectors.

I guess what i'm asking is on bolton stock engine, at what # injector will fuel economy and idle quality begin to appear?

160#

I wouldn't worry about it any normal size injector causing idle issues and such. I ran 72#'ers on a car that made about 400Fwhp for 6 months and it idled and drove fine. I've run 36#'ers also with no problem. As long as the car is tuned you will be fine.

I agree even though i never had mine running right with the stock injectors because they were clogged like hell. I put the racetronix 32's in my basicly stock lt1 m6 setup and it idles and runs great. I used lt1 edit to reprogram the pcm for the injectors and i get a fairly steady 800 rpm idle and it starts perfectly.
