Injector Cleaning...

Wondering what is a good way to clean the injectors on our cars...i heard you can buy this cleaner that hooks into the fuel system and you start the car up and burn off the can for a min/.

i think i might have a leaking injector...could b the problem of my hesistation.
Any ideas to clean my injectors out.
*already tried using injector cleaner from a store...i think i need more than that.

Thanks

I'd say the best way is to take them out and send them somewhere, but, I'm not sure exactly the stuff in a can, but I've heard about what you're talking about before.

hmmmm...intersting.
Have you done this to your Z Tim240Z?

Is it worthwhile? Much different than what a dealer would do?

I have not done it...instead I purchased a set of Accel 30lb injectors because I am not confident in the mechanical condition of my injectors, but in talking to the master tech at the local dealership, it is exactly the same way they clean injectors.
I plan to buy a kit anyway, just for maintenence cleaning every so often, especially since I have 2 cars with 94 LT1 engines (Datsun 240Z and the Z28)

I had mine cleaned & flowed (I also needed one replacement) last summer by Gordon at Witch Hunter Performance for ~120.00 (including the replacement injector). Service was top notch & he provided before and after flow results. Highly reccomended.
