Info on removal of Emissions systems....

I need to know what all emmissions systems i can remove from my car for sure(as in, i need actual info, guides etc...of the items that i can safely remove w/o compromising driveability and gas mpg). Pictures and links would be a great help....I plan on installing hooker LT's in the extremely near future, want to clean up engine bay and get rid of usless crap.....

Thanks in advance for all your input guys.....

I would wait and do it when you do the headers. You would have to do some things that you don,t need to do if headers are in the near future.
AIR pump and EGR are the main things to go if you don,t have to worry about emissions. You are installing LTs I see so you will have alot on your plate during the install and it won,t be much more work to remove the emissions at that time.
Just trying to save ya some headaches now when you can have them all at once and be done with it.
Shoebox has great tech pages on his site that will show ya what to take out as far as the AIR and EGR go.

I used this site as a guide to removing my airpump and all the tubing.

Good luck.

this says that on obdII cars it will throw a code and a light, is there nothing you can do to get around this, because i definetely want a functional SES light(not one that is on all the time, and i won't know if something else goes wrong)......what about the egr sys. does that through a code too, anybody do these mods have experience with this....?

My car throws a code after removing the AIR pump. You can have the AIR and EGR removed from the PCM with custom programming from PCMforLess or something similar i think. I have never had any custom programming done, so I'm not 100% on this.
