Info on O2 sims?
oh that's simple
they are a plug in module that replaces your factory rear (after-cat) o2 sensor. that sensor is designed to alert you when you have a faulty catalytic converter. when the cats are removed, by gutting or off-road pipe, those sensors register "malfunction".
the simulators provide the proper reading to the cars ecm so that it fools it into thinking the cats are in place and working properly.
the sims are ONLY for the rear o2 sensors, since the fronts are vitall to the operation of the car.
running no cats but still having the o2 sensors plugged in will do nothing bad to performance, it is just there as an "idiot light". i've been running with one o2 sim and one non-working one for months...no problems other than the SES light
