The "Infamous" Coolant Sensor

I finally went and bought one yesterday, and I still need to put it in. However, is there a likely chance that this new one will go out on me also, or have they somehow improved the sensor?

Re: The "Infamous" Coolant Sensor

Which coolant sensor are you talking about .... the low coolant sensor, the gauge sending unit, or the sensor for the PCM?

Thomas.

Re: The "Infamous" Coolant Sensor

Im guessing its the low coolant sensor in the rad.
They just get coated by some reaction with the water/coolant over the years. It'll be several years before it fails again (5+)....
