i was wondering if anyone that has ran a 24000 gvw trans cooler has noticed increased coolant temps? also, what brand or size do you guys recommend to run? which is the easiest to install and includes everything you need to hook up? oh, i know i have alot of questions, last one is, does anyone recommend the slp 2800 stall for the 4l60e? any results with this stall? slp has them for 430. thanks alot guys

I have the Hayden 24,000 with SLP fan switch and 160 stat.
My temps stay the same when driving around 180 for the tranny.

you may see an increase in coolant temp because when you put the trans cooler in front of the radiator, it blocks flow. i wouldnt worry about it though, just throw in a fan switch and be done with it.

Mounting the tranny cooler in front of the rad will cause a coolant temp increase. Even if you turn the fans on sooner, the temps will still evenutally creep up on you when the car heat soaks (like in steady traffic on a hot day). I would turn my fans on at around 180 and coolant temps would run at around 200-205 on really hot days. I have since moved the cooler to the passenger panel just in front of the front wheel and my coolant temps have dropped to 182-190 degrees (depending upon if I'm beating on it or not)

I'm running a 24000lb cooler and SLP2800 stall. I like the stall, it's served me well over the last 3 years.

I didn't really notice an increase in engine temp. after I installed my B&M 24,000 GVW tranny cooler. I mounted it on the radiator and used the provided rubber pads to provide a gap betweent the cooler and the radiator.

I never had any coolant temperature problems either.

Midwest 3600 stall and a Hayden 24,000GVW cooler.
