Important (Valvetrain)

After 14 weeks my AFR 210cc competition heads came.. Problem is, I didn't exchange springs.. (210cc AFR's springs are for solid roller cam ,but my cam si hydrolic roller) And heads came with all valvetrain.. (AFR 1.550" 220lbs springs...........) I will change springs and all related components according to my cam specs..
BTW: Valves are .50 longer.

camshaft: 237/245 dur. 584/579 lift 113lsa (will use 200 wet shot nitrous)

What springs should I get? 26918 or 26120 beehives???
Most people suggest 26918 ,but its for .600 lift.. Its too close cam lifts.. What should I do?
Which parts should be change with springs ? shims,retainers,seat........ etc???

any suggestion is very important..
thanks

Come on..! 17 views and no any idea? Please its very important I should decide.. Valves are .50 longer so if I go with 26918 springs what should be the height?? and if anyone know part number of retainers, him, locks for 26918 springs will be great..

Who did you buy the heads through? Your best bet on something like this is talk to an expert that sets these heads up regularly and is familiar with your cam and cam specs. I wouldn't just guess based on what others have used for something as important and expensive as this on a new set of nice heads.

Re: Important (Valvetrain)

i set up the valve springs for a friends car, CC 26918's
the cam was from Bret Bauer (rather large too, and over .600 lift) anyway, Bret suggested the install height be at a minimum of 1.75 and a maximum of 1.77

but every valvetrain will be different...i would contact a professional about what open and seat pressures you will need!!

Re: Important (Valvetrain)

Lots of people use these 26918 beehive springs.. My Heads came with all AFR's valvetrain.. I should change springs and what other parts should be change with springs?? i.e: 794 for Titanium retainers' part number.. And other ones? locks, seats??
Yes off course my engine are building by expert hands ,but here I wrote my camshaft specs.. And valves are .50 longer than stock ,so springs should be installed at which height?
Can't get info about this here?

If you had something wrong with you medically, would you rather talk to others that have been to the doctor or go to the doctor himself for help?

Good luck.

Bad comparison.. Medically situtation = technical problem .. I have not a technical problem just wanted to know people who use that springs and their experince thats all..

With 237/245 584/579 lifts camshaft 26918 or 26120 will be better?? I heard 26120s are used for Big Block Chevy (BBC) ,and has more mass than 26918.. I definitaly want to go with these beehive springs ,but couldn't decide..

Good comparison, IMO. If you spec'd your own cam you must know what spring loads will be required to make it work at the (unspecified) rpm range you plan to run. If you don't, as evidenced by your questions, then you do have a technical problem.

Ask the pros who design valvetrain systems. IOW, ask the "doctor".

You are 3 for 3 on the same advice so far.
