I'm a newbie!
Hey all! I've been trolling for awhile, but yesterday picked me up a 1997 Z28 M6!
I've had a 1990 RS for years (since 1998), and have finally upgraded.
So the engine in the car has 180.5K miles. I want to really cherry and baby this thing (it starts and drives great!). Would it be ok to start using synthetic with it, or should I keep it on dyno-blood? And is there anything to really go through and check?
Thanks for any help (or even a glance over)!

Re: I'm a newbie!
I wouldnt use the synthetic with the miles that are on the car. If you have even a small leak it will get worse with the synthetic. Even if you dont have a leak right now, you might have the beginning of one that might not be bad and switching over could cause it to turn into a much worse leak. Just change the fluides in the car and dont be TO hard on it and everything should be fine.
Re: I'm a newbie!
I bought my 97 with 191k on it on August 29th and stopped driving it in the end of March of this year with 211k on it. It ran incredibly strong and a lot of people worried about the mileage but I figured if it blew up just a reason to build a motor. Well it never blew up so I just took it apart. HAHA. good luck with your new ride.
