i made a post about the security light comming on for a few seconds during driving...now i havent driven my car in about 3 days, its hot out, i just went to go to the store and no start...no click nothing, battery is charged..fuel pump comes on ect, the security light doesnt come on...i tried my spare key...what is it? ive had ignition switch problems...its got a brand new one...(it was dying while driving) doesnt anymore...whats my problem?

On my sons 98 camaro we were able to jump just the starter to be sure it was something else. Turns out the vats went bad so we put in a resistor and problem fix sort of. It was in the steering column and it wasn't worth the money to replace it just so the keys resistor worked properly.

 

i just went out turned the key on and jumped the starter...started and ran fine...although the abs light was on? no biggie...i think its the key cylinder???

found out the 3rd ignition switch has burned up in 8k miles...less than a year...so im going over all ground and power wires tomaro...something is drawling too much current....it was only keeping the starter from powering up
