yep...thats what im getting in 2 months...have about 2k saved up...the kit im getting is 3700$ coems with a t74 turbo and some other ****...they dynoed a stock lt1 and were trying to blow the engine up, they 1st started out with 8psi and it ran around 460rwhp then went on up to 12psi and ran around 560rwhp and like 608trq at the wheels....here is a site of the video, its called LT1 POPS ON DYNO or somethign like that....this guy 1st started building the kits for the v6's and now he is building them for the v8's!!!!
http://www.forcefedfab.com/
after you go there take a look around and go under the vid sections!!!

Awesome, but you may want to build up that bottom end to maximize the potential that a turbo has to offer. A stock bottom end isn't going to hold up to too much boost. 8 PSI would be pushing it IMO.

On another note, when is this guy going to get some specs up for the LT1 kit???

Too big for your engine un-intercooled.

is ur budget $3700 the price of the turbo? I'd double that figure which would include a rebuild to a lower compression motor. and then you might wonder how long ur stock tranny will hold up. might need that rebuilt to hold the power as well.

This from a guy who bested a 14.00 at 99.6 MPH? Yea, they are that freaking weak...LT1 pistons don't like boost...especially when its not intercooled. I'm just giving my .02...if you wanna tear yours up, be my guest. The smart thing for this guy to do would be to spend that first 3K on rebuilding the bottom end. Go with some forged internals, and a set of reverse dome pistons...then really throw the boost at it ;D

The car did last a while, but I guess the fact you guys had that 383 ready and waiting, alowed you to egta tad bit greedy on the boost.
