Ignition Switch Question (Need Clarification)
Ignition Switch Question (Need Clarification)
Ok, pardon me if I ramble, but I'm drunk off my gourd at the moment. Ok, here's the deal. The car is having typical cranking problems due to the VATS Security System. It won't crank until the Security Light will go out, which only happens after the usual 3-5 minute wait, or by-passing it with resistors.
So here's my question. Since the culprit is normally either the ignition switch or the cylinder lock, can I assume that its the ignition switch since the car can be jumped by the resistors?
I would prefer to only have to buy one replacement part. Money is really tight and I've got a lot of things left to buy just to get this thing running again.
Thanks guys.
