On a stock cam, LT4 springs will work fine. Their cheap too, like $34 a set

Possibly. They'd be cheaper through GMpartsdirect.com

They're a factory GM part...

How much can lt4 springs handle?

sidewayzz28, are you going with self aligning or non self aligning? roller tipped?

If you ever plan to go with anything bigger than the hotcam don't get the LT4 springs. Just go ahead and call combination motorsports and get a set of their .600 lift valve springs that fit in the stock seats. You might just want to wait and get an entire cam kit from them at one time and be done with it.

To answer your question,
No, not safely.
Get some stronger ones. You will thank yourself in the long run.

I belive the hotcam springs are good to .550 & prolly .590 to coil bind.

I know the crane 10308 spring kit is good to .700 lift if installed at 1.850 installed height.

Not sure.
