yes it could definately damage the opti..that constant water flow will indefinately start soaking through your opti and car will run like ****! get that fixed quick

i got one problem though i cant get the crank pully off it looks like a generic balancer with three bolts holding it down plus the bolt in the middle any idea how to get it off?

You need to get a gear puller, no big deal.

The bolt in the middle is for the hub, you don't need to remove that or touch it. Just the 3 5/8" bolts that hold the balancer onto the hub.

well what i have is i rented crankshaft puller from discount will that work on this??

Impact wrench or wedge the damper somehow to hold it steady. If you have a damper like in the picture you can use a hub puller or do it like this;

one problem is that because of the shape of the damper i cant get the claws on properly and i dont have access to a impact gun

Are the three tabs between the spokes on the damper threaded, they should be? Use a triangular hub puller and thread the three bolts into the tabs. I broke my damper bolts lose by tapping the ratchet with a hammer.
