Idling issues on cold start up, any way to remedy?

From a cold start, my car fires right up but the idle goes up and down slowly anywhere from 450-900 or so. Watching the fuel pressure guage, as the pressure goes up, the idle dips and then the idle goes back up when the fuel pressure drops to compensate. it sounds like the car is going to stall when the rpms dip but never does. The car runs rich at idle even when warmed up, and the tuner said he couldnt turn it down anymore from idle (not really sure why). Once the car reaches operating temperature, it idles perfectly and holds pretty close to 950 rpms where its set. Is this simply the way the car acts with a CC306 or is there something else at play to make my cold start better? Thanks

My tuner, Jeff Creech, solved that issue for me via tuning.

i had to open my throttle blades up to get it to idle right.
if you have a scanner just use the set screw and open them up a little at a time, and watch the iac count.
if i remember correctly you want the iac around 80, that gives it a good range to open and close it to adjust the idle.

does it sound like its running on all cylinders? does it sputter when you try to rev it? if so your probably either loading up or foweled the plugs...

All the cylinders sound like they are firing just fine. I do think that its getting hosed with too much fuel which is killing the spark a bit and making it drop in idle rpm. I will def take a look at the IAC count and see if that is where it should be. Like I said, it runs perfect once warmed up, but I would certainly like to help out the cold start...especially when the temps are real low. thanks for the input guys.
