Idle vid.

Hey guys, just uploaded this to show a buddy across the state what the car sounded like as of being put away for the year.. Mods are:

CC 236/242 at .555/.576 (with 1.6 rockers)
1.6 pro mags
SLP midtubes
Flowmaster cat back- On the list to get rid of! (But I do love the sound it makes..)
Ram Air intake/hood.
B&M short throw.

I think that's about it.. It's way to big and healthy of a cam for stock heads, but I picked it up for 50 bucks from a friend of mine and just tossed it in.

It put down 281RWHP and 303 RWTQ. Which isn't tooo bad.. but the cam is quite big to put down power that low. Found out I have huge leak some where, making the car run SUUPPER rich. So it's on the operating table this winter to get one more year out of the LT1 power before the 408LSx motor i'm building this winter/ coming summer goes in next year.

Yeah, still pulled harder then what 281horsepower felt like. But I just picked up a set of heads so I'll see what it does next year with ported heads and long tubes.. Then comes in the 408 lq4 I'm building.

*(although the car was a lower stock powered car, only put down 245 and 271)*

And of course, the ****ty audio/video quality doesn't do it any justice. I get compliments on it all the time, and no body can believe me when I tell them that I've got 110K miles on the car.

Thanks. I'm kinda excited for the heads now.. I had just planned to get the fuel problem solved and run it one more year with just whats in it.. But the heads were 400 bucks.. Figure if I can figure out the fuel problem that should get me to around 315or so.. and then with the ported heads I think the power should keep me satisfied for one more summer.

Haha, I know right! Yeah.. I've got SLP mid tubes to a blow master 3" cat back and a ram air intake along with the 6 speed, the car was not even close to what it should have been.

I blew up the clutch though so next time I drive the car it will be quite different.. (hoping for 350 whp.) And I've got suspension stuff here waiting to put on as well.

What size injectors are you running with that cam? Programming?

36# injectors, tuned by one of the known tuners around here.

we first tuned it on O2 sensors that were on there way out, then when I replaced them it made the tune wayyy rich. Went for a retune and there was/is a mechanical issue that's causing a 42% fuel difference fbetween each bank! It's so rich now that it burns your eyes out of the exhaust!

It's all coming apart this winter to check it out and fix the problem. Hoping for 375 or so with the new heads and the fuel issue solved.

I've seen banks split on the BLMs when there is a manifold leak. Especially near the back of the intake manifold near the exhaust EGR feed pipe.

We sprayed carb cleaner all around but couldn't find a spot that would make it rev up at all. Head's are on the way so I'm going to tear it apart and see if I can't get it all sealed up nice and tight and ready to rock for next years season.
