Idle Problems...

I'm having a problem with my idle after about 10 minutes of running. It idles about 750-800 rpms on a fresh start. After it warms up it goes to **** running between 200-1200 rpms.

My main thought is the IAC, I was going to test it tomorrow. Any other thoughts?

In closed loop, haven't taken readings from O2 yet.

i would clean the iac first and see if it still has problems. if so, you could get it scanned. possibly egr, o2's, plugs/wires... its hard to tell, just clean the iac and go from there.

Chad, long time no see man. Hey its funny I just read this because I had the same exact problem not long ago. As soon as the car would go into closed loop the RPM would die down and come back up. I cleaned my IAC first, no change. Then I just replaced the 2 o2 sensors and Wallah!!!! Drove the car for a while and the more I dorve it the better it started to run!!! hope this helps man, later.~~~~~rob

Thanks guys for the help. The IAC was mainly what I was thinking. I was going to clean that out tomorrow and see what that does.

If that don't work, I know new o2's won't hurt either, they haven't been replaced yet, and I was running extremely rich on the passenger's side a while ago, and I know that might have been harmed.

Rob, I've been around for a little bit off and on, just don't post too much because I've been extremely busy with school and work, I just don't have time right now. I'm gald to see someone noticed though
