Re: idle

Idle should be whatever Madz set it at in your program.

Frank,

Factory idle speed for an A4 is set at 650 in P and at 550 while in gear (this at a fully warm idle of course). And before you bought the car off of me, I had Speed Inc check the idle with a scanmaster and it basically showed this to be just about right on. BTW, ignore the tach as it reads a little high both ways...

Also, why did you add a 52mm TB to it? Planning some motor work then? And what did it run at Union Grove the other weekend?

Later,

Mike

Ion (MadZ28) didn't change the idle with the tune. He just adjusted the A/F ratio, etc. (part of the performance tune). This used to be my old car FYI...

Re: idle

Again, Idle is set by the programmer. It is determined by the program.

Well, then his program must have been the same as what the original stock programming had the car idling at. All I'm saying is (via an LT1 scanmaster), the idle didn't change in P or gear after his PCM tune was loaded into my car's PCM...

Re: idle

Right on, Madz can set it to whatever you want. Mine is set at 725 to lope a bit .
