ICM Problem??
OK the mods are in my sig less the 160 thermostat. That being said I was on my way to work today and traffic was a little bit more than usual so the car had time to pass the 160 mark towards the 220 on my temp guage. as it got hotter it started to random missfire. No rhyme or reason to the missfire just a little stumble here and there upon acceleration and some intermitten misses at idle. I also loaded the engine by holding the brakes and then revved it up to about 1200 and the missfire was of course noticable however without rythm. Upon my arrival to work the car died with a bit of dieseling and would not restart. I let the car sit for 15 minutes and it started right back up and ran fine. I went out at the end of work it started right up and drove fine all the way home traffic being less than before i was able to sustain my speeds and the engine never went above the 160 mark. I recently replaced the ICM with an advanced auto' part. the plugs are all brand new less than 200 miles on them and the wires have only a few thousand. It seemes to me the ICM got heat soaked and started to fail any ideas guys?
Did you replace the coil? It is considered a "tune-up" item and should be replaced periodically. Look at the body of the coil and see if it has tell tale white spots indicating it's leaking to ground so speak. Might want to look at it after the engine warms up one night when it's really dark.
