ICM grounded?

ICM grounded?

When I plug my old ICM in and not mount it to the coil and bracket, my car starts up with no ses light and runs, when I connect it to the actual where it belongs, the car will not start, just cranks, why would that happen??

might be internally shorted to ground, try a new one

I put the new one in, and following the same procedure above, it did the same thing??
