I will be getting tax refund soon, and want to spend a chunk of it, so I think I want true duals. It needs to be street legal though, as my Z is my daily driver. I checked local laws, and as long as cats are used, it is legal, no matter where they are.

Questions:
1. X or H pipe?
I hear an X is better, if so, then
2. Which type of X pipe?

1. X is better, exhaust likes to flow in as easily as possible, the H makes the flow turn 90 degrees, which isn't as efficient as X
it will make more power maybe 5-6 horses more.
2. They all do the same thing, I would get the one that is cheapest
3. Those new Jet Hot longtubes are supposed to include them, and if I'm not mistaken cheaper than Hookers
4. depends on what you want, how much your willing to spend and how you want it to look. for daily driver I would just use aluminium
5. under the axle is out of the question, cause you cannot raise the car with a jack, doing so would allow the rear end to pull down the exhaust and bend them. Jack up your car to see what I mean. Taking them out all the way will be very expensive, I was qouted 350 dollars just to go over the rear end. I went with short side exit pipes, most people choose turndowns
6. Depends on what your doing, are you planning on doing all the work yourself? I know some people have done it real cheap using summit parts. good luck

1: x-pipe
2: whatever works for my design
3: either Hookers or Jet Hots? What about ceramic coating? is it really needed/worth it, or just a plus.
4: Aluminium, for cheapness? I won't be racing other than the street, so this will do, right?
5: Hmm, I don't think I want to dump down before the axles, anybody have pics of side exits? I also heard that you can use that flex piping stuff, although it leaks a little. But that doesn't matter, because it will have gone through the cats/mufflers already. Any ideas/suggestions?
