Thats a good reason, but i forgot to mention that i have a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T Ext. Cab that is my primary vehicle with the ac. ha. I only drive the Camaro once in a while even though its not all big time modded, i like to keep the miles down. Usually the t-tops take place of the ac anyhow. oh yea, and it needs a new pump that im not buying. haha

I love it when people delete the AC, it is such a space robbing don,t belong on a hot rod POS.
Some wusses need it, I don,t.
Get an AC delete pulley and just start pulling it out, compressor, accumulator, condenser, these are all pretty easy. The Evap core is too much with the engine in so just leave it for now.
If you are a tree hugger take your car to a shop and have them suck all your refrigerant out. I opened the valve and let er fly.
Just take your time and follow the tubes and you will see what to take out and what to leave in.

how far do you want to go? just the compressor or do you want EVERYTHING gone? I took it all out on my car...there was a good 100lbs of stuff by the time it was all gone. Then I just fabbed up a sheet metal cover for the hole in the firewall. Works fine and the car has goten much quicker.

I found this FAQ shortly AFTER I did mine, so I didn't follow his procedure. Check it out, and if you have any questions, drop me an email or PM or something and I will help all I can
