roughly 50-60 bucks at autozone, and I think you get like 10 bucks for returning the old one.

I work for the company that supplied GM with all the F-body
windows. Some reasons the motor dies....

Very complex bends in the glass. (which goes for all the 4th gen windows).

Door windows were 5mm thick, compared to most are 4mm, resulting in a very heavy door window.

I hated to see production stop on the F-body, but I don't miss
producing those complex windows.

I've replaced both, the drivers side twice, in 100k miles. Now it's going sloooooow again.

I've often wondered how much work it would be to fit a vette window motor in the fbody. The vette motors are so much nicer and faster. I might just buy one to fab something up. I bet a lot of people would like that upgrade.

Anyone have an idea how to attempt it or has access to vette window schematics and fbody schematics

I hope you're talking about the C5 window motors, because C4 motors are also known for their unreliability.

As far as I know either one would be an upgrade. C4 may or may not be unreliable but they are faster at putting up the window then new f-body motors are. I do know my fiance's dad had a '93 Vette with 140k miles and the windows were still kicking and opened/closed the windows much faster than my window has ever moved. Vette stuff is almost always better than Camaro stuff of the same years, but yeah why not even try and setup C5 window motor.
