I think I lost some low end torque

Since having my headers on my car, I feel like it's lost some of it's grunt down low. I'm thinking it felt like it had more torque with the stock manifolds.

Don't get me wrong, It still feels quick and pulls hard and is louder the heck. I can even scratch 2nd every single time. Does this make any sense?

most people say the louder a car is the slower it feels, too a point. but your torque band may have just moved up.

I've seen too many dyno charts to believe this.

your *** is not a dyno
Most likely, its ripping harder uptop so down low feels lighter. Kinda like the LS1 thing

hmm, do you guys think? I might just change the plate to the smaller plate on the Borla. I'd rather have it feel faster then louder.

1.8L integra with V-tec is your motor. RPMS shoot to 8,000 rpms in a blink of an eye, slam into 2nd, right into 3rd and just in time to cross the line at 84mph

seriously, those rpms are flying to high rpms and getting there so damn fast... too bad 1st gear ends at like 18mph

Hey, Why do you think I have a bunch of stickers on my car.

Anyways, The smaller the plate you go, the more horses you gain and the more torque you loose but I don't think you can really tell.

The smaller the plate you use the more air you force through the muffler. The borla muffler is nice, but it is still a restrictor. You would be better off using the biggest plate (equal to no plate at all) so that most of your air flow will go through the open pipe instead of the muffler. This will create less of a restriction on your exhaust air flow and should equal more HP and better sound at the same time.

You didnt lose any torque. You probably are producing more. It just isnt where it used to be. Push hard on the pedal on the right, hold on tight, you'll find it
