I think I blew my engine
I just bought my 95 z28 m6 a month ago and its dead...
Coming home 2 nights ago I felt something let go in the engine. There was a total power loss, I could hear the exhaust as the rpms went up but the car would barely move... almost like a loss of compression and a weird knocking sound in the engine. The oil pressure gauge went straight to 0 so I downshifted into 4th to pull over and the car turned off... the engine locked while in gear and came to a grinding halt.
I went to check the oil and as soon as I pulled the dipstick out a puff of smoke came out. The oil smelled burnt as well. I just changed it last week.
Does anyone know what let go?
As for now, I have a black 95 z28 M6 with a dead engine for sale. The car itself is completely solid... 94,000 miles

I'm located in Long Island New York.
My problem is I really have no time to get into it. It was my daily driver.... I drive 40 miles each way to work.
I just went out to try to turn it on but it wont even crank.
