I REALLY f'ed up, experts please help...
Thanks... they sell those fuel injection hose clamps, the exact same ones at kragen. I don't really want to do that though. I will hate myself every time I drive if that ghetto band aid is on my fuel line. I'm just going to replace the sender assembly.
Hey no probs I might have what you're looking for, it comes complete with no pump, you'll just have to transfer your fuel pump over, PM me & make me an offer
Its the whole unit minus the fuel pump.
Matt..

Fuel lines along with brake lines can easily be repaired with a double flaring kit and some new fittings. If you know what you're doing you can fix that in 20 min. If I were you, I would definetly go that route vs. putting a whole new line in.

why not just use a flare kit...? If it's good enough for something as serious as your brakes it's good enough for your fuel lines.

Good Luck...
Just flare it, pep boys loans flaring tools, shouldn't take very long. If you are really worried find someone parting a car and replace the whole assembly. I sold one on ebay for about 50 bucks a while ago. Rubber hose would probably be fine too.. just replace it every couple of years or something and use the rubber fuel injection hose not the stuff for carbs.
You cut a giant hole in your unibody and are worried about repairing a fuel line being a hack job?

Does anybody have a good sending unit for sale? Are all years interchangeable?

Sorry to go off subject, but I saw this before and had to ask. Is this the usual way everyone is changing their fuel pumps??? I guess its way easier than dropping the tank huh.

It's the latest rage...................
But do it at your own risk
guys, he doesnt even know what a flare kit is, i think he would be better just replacing the whole thing, because if you dont know what you are doing and watch it you can make and uneven flare and it will leak.
cutting an access hatch saved my butt since I had to go back into the tank to fix some fuel problems.
If I had to drop my rear to get to the tank 3 times I would have killed somebody.
I plan on keeping my car till I die, its just too much fun but if you do plan on selling it someday then you might want to put in the extra effort and do it the right way.
Just for the record I have not seen one problem with my access hatch and it is SOOOO much easier to work on the pump.

This is a Flare Kit
Kit
You can rent them at Auto zone...all you need are the Line Fittings. Once you get the measurements of your fuel line you can probably get those fittings for them at nappa.
I wouldn't knock the idea of flaring either...It's been a quick fix it trick for years. Even if your not sure about using the kit just take it to a shop that can for you. It's cheaper and easier to do than replaceing the entire line. Don't giv
