I need a straight answer

With the LT4 KM and sensor, do you need both or just one or the other for a OBD1 car ? I'm really confussed about this so I thought I would get the right answer from someone. Just to clear things up, KM goes in the PCM and the sensor screws into the block correct.

I'm assuming all I need is the KM for the PCM, is this correct ?

Yes, just the knock module.

You don't need the sensor that goes into the block, just the one that plugs into the PCM.

Yulp, the sensors are the same in the LT1's and LT4's. Just different modules.

To clarify that a little-all 1996-1997 knock sensors are the same (LT4 or LT1), but they are not the same as the 1993-1995 knock sensors and are not interchangeable. The knock modules are interchangeable 1994-1997 (1993 does not have a removable module).
