Hello;

I need to know what this device is:

Built in to one of the fuel lines coming off the right side fuel rail is a circular piece about 3/4" thick. Can someone tell me what the function of this is?

There are exploded views of the fuel rails on my Tech Page, if you want to look. Maybe what you see is not on the rails.

That looks like it must be off a 1993, but obviously there is something different there. Don't know what that is.

 

Could it be a pulsation damper? (If I understand correctly, it is a device used to suppress shockwaves in the gas resulting from injectors closing)
