i need help

my car was running fine until it wouldnt start. it will crank over but not ignite, i thought it was the plugs so i changed them. now it starts up but if i shut it off and try to start it again it wont. once i let it set/cool for a couple of minutes it starts back up again. when it is running it runs fine, i was having some trans problems also but now that seems to be ok now also. is it something electrical?

Check your ICM. I had a problem where my car just died, then I would let the engine cool it would start right back up. The ICM doesn't like heat, but sadly it sits right on the cylinder head.

i just seafoamed the car and it seems to have helped a bit but when i start it up it idles really rough for a minute or 2 and then it sounds like it clears it self out idles up to 1500 rpms and then settles back down to 8-900 and idles smoothly
