Question I need to determine which stereo system I have. Please help!

HI Guys!

I have a 1997 Z28. I was wondering how I could tell if I have the six speaker system with 250 watt amp.

The system I have has the cassette player in the unit with auto tone control.

The reason I am asking is because the speakers behind the drivers side and passenger side seat don't appear to be working!

will they work if you don't have the six speaker system?

How hard is it to replace these speakers?

I find it hard to believe that both speakers would be blown at once.

Any thoughts or suggestions.

THanks Lee

Bose made a few variations for our cars. My '94 has the 3-speaker system. There are grills in the back, but NO speakers were in there. (There are now though )

Bose wasn't offered in '97. According to the Camaro White Book, the optional sound system was Delco Audyssey 200-watt stereo with either cassette or CD. Doesn't mention number of speakers.
