I need cam selection help.
I need cam selection help.
I plan on a cam swap. I allready have an LT4 Hotcam and produce 381 rwhp and 349 rwtq with stage II heads that have been said to flow really well. I really want to up the torque and if possible the hp. My current cam specs are as follow's:
Lt4 Hotcam specs
.218/.228 duration
.525/.525 lift
112 lsa
I really like my power range where it is. I would prefer to not lift any more than .550(.c)
Anyone have the cam specs and results from what they did, as well as where I can get them and about how much the cam cost.
Thanks

well it looks like the XE 230 236 would be a good step up for you. it would shift the powerband up a bit higher and you should probibly have some good lifters to go with it since It like to pull to at least 6500
its 230 / 236 I think lift is .544 .555 W/1.6 112 LSA.
Its got an early open exhaust valve too which tends to favor torque over horsepower. but dont even think of trying to run it on your hotcam springs. comp cams 986 or 987s.

Personally i would suggest using the XE 224/230 or the CCA 305 cams. I would think that in a 350 an XE 230/236 is going to really deplete bottom end torque. I think that a cam with higher duration/lift is only going to keep killing your bottom end torque, if you want more torque you may have to step up to a 383.
