I know I'm just being lazy but...
Could anybody point me toward a good EGR bypass writeup? I'm putting in new headers, and my fingers are so cut up it hurts to type. I did a search and couldn't find anything right away. I'm tired and want to go to bed. Hopefully the answers will appear in the morning. Thanks guys.

Leave the EGR atached, push the diaphram shut, and unplug the electical and vacuum lines running to it. Will need to cap vacuum line, and then delete the EGR failure from the ECM.
OR, if your diaphram wont close, then you need to buy blockoff plates for it.

This is from shoeboxes sight.

If you totally disable the EGR from the computer from ever working, you should be able to leave that hooked up, but if not cap it. It wouldnt hurt to cap it either way.

Re: I know I'm just being lazy but...
I see on Shoebox's diagram that the vacuum line has an L fitting. My 95 has a T fitting...one side going to the Optispark vent I think (not sure)
anywho all i did was disconnect the electrical and cap the T fitting on one side I'll get around to putting a L fitting on once I remove the system entirely (when I put headers on)because that exhaust pipe is a beeeotch to get to at the manifold. And I don't like the idea of cutting, plugging , or curling the metal pipe.
The reason I detached mine is the car was surging. all fixed now! One less thing to rule out when/ if the car starts acting up.
Shoebox has mentioned that removing the EGR system will cause cylinder temps to rise, but hopefully it's not any real issue.
thanks for letting me share.
