Well thats cool, hopefully itll work out well. Did what I could to fix what was already done - picked up 20cfm up top & they were at 193@.300 before polishing, but the midlift numbers would have been a little better if the heads didnt start out with a ridiculously large (IMO) venturi in the first place.

Ahh well, ended up alot better than it was, so hopefully it'll run well. What did it roll before? Wasn't it around 350rw sae with a cc306 & those "stage 2" heads? Makes me almost wonder about your tune, or your shortblock if it was indeed that low.

Hope it works out well for you, Jeremy.

A tune would make it much easier to drive and pick up quite a bit of power as well. Get that thing tuned and you should be happy.

What was Grease's first dyno pull (before dyno tune)?

Maybe you could give Schurters and Idea of what kinda difference a dyno tune would make for him.

I will post track results tomorrow in new thread (dont want to totally hi-jack this one). I will PM you the link or results.

My car is basically full bolt ons plus cam

Hooker LT
Cutout and catback
CAI
Elec h20
6 speed, 4.33 gears
tuning by lt1dave and me

If the track is empty, im going to bolt on a 52mm TB and see what that does compared to the 48 that is on it right now. My web page has the total mod list on it

Last year car ran a best of 13.1 at 103.5 on 1.78 60'. Basically have added valvetrain, cam, and elec h20 since then.

Oh ya, you can order direct from GM (gmpartsdirect.com, or a dealorship that carries the GMPP parts (jason cromer))

Im actaully running the crane version of this cam. Carne part #109841 , http://dab7.cranecams.com/SpecCard/D...1=Display+Card

Right now driveing on the stock the car fells good.

YA i made 349 rwhp @6500 on ARE dyno with 306 and the stage 2 heads.

I think there dyno is low and this was with 4:10's so the rumber's may be a bit higher. but the (dyno is just for tuning)

i have all the bolts ons

the cam imo sounds more tame then the 306.

When you mentioned that you "opened the gates of Hell" I thought you may have posted in "The Lounge" that the LT1 was the motor hand-built by god and that the LS1 wasn't.

* it's not a Crane version, rather it is built by Crane for GM as I've learned today from Crane. Also have not seen anyone mention matching springs for this cam and thought I'd offer what Crane suggested to me.

* Crane Springs PN# 99846 - Can be used for either 1.5 or 1.6 ratio. For the 1.6 ratio they recommend for CLOSED SEAT 1.800" @ 125 lbs at the seat which is 10 more than the cam card specs but this would provide more rpm and be fine. OPEN SEAT 1.200" @380 or 383 lbs from seat to bottom of retainer and matches the CLOSED SEAT 10 lb over adjustment.

* I also called CompCams today about their custom grind 306 (Comp Cam Core PN# 07-000-8 & Grind # 3725/3732 HR112.)
Which is a 230/244 @.050 112 (.522/.540 1.5 ratio) or (.557/.576 1.6 ratio) 1800-6200 estimated rpm range. And they recommended their Comp Behive springs which to my understanding they are having a harmonic balancing problem with this spring. Not sure if anyone has heard, used or know anything about this harmonic problem. This custom grind cam would be streetable and great mid to high range but still it's not quite what I want by comparison to the GM847 which I'm told by Crane is streetable and a good match for the M6 with mid to high rpm range.
