I have a question Shoebox!!!

Hey shoebox i was reading your section on how to program keyless entry remotes. When i bought my car I didnt get any remotes but i do have the module thing under the kick panel so that tells me it did have keyless entry. My question is this. I didnt read anywhere (or didnt catch it if it is there) about programing only 1 remote. Can u do 1 remote or do u have to do 2 of them? Maybe I was just confused about the whole deal with doing them right after another. Anway, if u could answer that for me then i would appreciate it, thanks alot man, Dustin.

ps. other then that question up top your page was very informative, keep up the good work!!

First off the moderators don't like it when you call an individual or several individuals to answer your question. Shoebox usually replies saying not to and so do the mods. If you want to talk to just one guy then use PM's thats what they are there for. Unfortunately i know the answer to your question but since i'm not shoebox i guess this question will go unanswered.

I recall another encident in which I told u that if u didnt have anything constructive to say in one of my threads then stay the hell out. Secondly, excuse me if I "offended" anyone in my post, I have never read anything about not being able to ask a specific person a question. I guess maybe U should let the moderators tell me it then instead of me having to read your idiotic posts. As far as not answering my question goes, I think I will go cry now......NOT....your such a tool. Why dont u go post something constructive.

Now girls, lets be nice.

This is not the "ASK SHOEBOX" section of CZ28.com. Perhaps you are confused. This is a community board where everybody helps everybody so all the answers are not dependent solely on a single individual.. ie. shoebox.

I would not have gotten so pissed about his post but he does crap like that all the time and franky, I am tired of reading it. The only reason I asked "Shoebox" directly bc it had to do with his web site. I didnt send him a PM bc I am sure someone down the road might have the same question and a PM would prevent them from seeing the answer.

To answer your question.. Yes, you can program only one remote.. When I bought my car the guy didn't have the remote.. I bought one off ebay and got it a couple days ago... Jumped the plug like he said on his site and programmed the one remote.. Works fine.

Wow I cant beleive u actually took the time to look up those posts. I am forever in debt with u. Besides, in both of those threads they say "its not a good idea" never read anything about it being a crime. Like I said above, the reason I asked shoebox directly was bc it had to do with his web page but I also wanted other to be able to see it if they had a similar question down the road.

The blurb about programming both is pretty much verbatim from the manual. I believe it is meant to purge the old fob's code from the receiver's memory. That would keep the old fob from working (in case you lost it and maybe someone else found it and tried to use it on your car).

Re: I have a question Shoebox!!!

I think they hired Z95M6 as a hall monitor around here or something, he does this type of thing all the time so dont take it personally, he has even got me a couple times, he does have a lot of seniority around here so would imagine you'd have to watch out what you say to him.

the point Z95M6 made is good, I agree with it 100 % yet why doesnt he just leave the job of the moderators to the moderators. (he has done this same type thing to me on two seperate occasions)

anyway...peace

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. He is always making grumpy post in tons of these threads. Shoebox and the others thank u for clearing all this up for me. I will be more careful about asking a single person next time.
