I have a 95z28 roller with no motor or tranny in it. Can I throw any complete lt1 motor in it(all front accesories) and get a computer being obd1 or obd2 to match the motor's year? I have an option to buy a motor tranny combo with all the accesories on it. I guess I am asking is does it really matter what year it is since I am not swtiching anything over, I will be using everything from the motor I am buying.
hope that wasn't confusing.

You'll want to run a 95 engine harness with a 94/95 pcm. The motor year really doesn't matter but you may have to change a few things. If you get a 93 engine you'll probably need to change the intake and fuel rails.

The engine wiring harness needs to match the year of the car. There are differences both in the engine compartment and under the dash where the harness plugs in.
