well i just put on scorpion 1.7 ratio roller rockers. i did have the lt4 hot cam kit 1.6's.
all the parts i did along w/ the roller rockers. were crane double coil springs, comp cams guide plates, comp cams chromeoly push rods, and arp 7/16 rocker arm studs. along w/ new valve seals. i will just say this. OH DAMN!! it pulls sossoooo much harder up top than before. i used to be able to tell by the cams power band when to shift and yesterday when i took it out for the first time i was like ohhhh my god, crap i have to shift now. it just didn't stop pulling. OH JUST AN FYI my stock valve covers did not fit. they had to be modified in order to work. well just thought i would throw my input in on this. since lots of talk has been said lately about doing 1.7's.

 

It's not obvious by your post, but are you running the stock cam or the LT4 Hotcam?

Did you have to make any tuning changes for the new rockers?

Can you please explain what changes you have to make to the valve covers to work with the rockers?

 

yes i have the lt4 hot cam. no tunning was required for the new roller rockers. just put them on so to speak and off i went. as far as the valve cover modification. the little bridge things thats by were the valve cover bolts go is what i had to cut out. so hope this helps you out some.

Mustang4lunch2 glad to hear that they made that much of an improvement. I'm going to be getting those after i do my headers. How did all those parts line up?

yes everything lined up. i'm not sure what you fully mean by that but everything worked just fine.

Well some people had some issues with the guideplates not lineing up correctly. So thats basically what i meant. Sorry for not being clear.
