I don't know what to do anymore!!

I can't deside on an exhaust set up! Everyone is telling me somthing different than what I had thought was a perfectly planned out set up.

I'd like some recommendations from you guys as to what I should do..

I want long tube headers first off (even though I was told to go with short because of clearance problems) But I'm not changing my mind about that..

My car has to be emissions legal.. so I need cat(s) and AIR, EGR

That being said and are the only rules.. what should I do? If you say dual exhaust, I will only settle with up and over the axle.. not dumping before.

If you already have a SLP 2OTL, keep it, thats a great catback, but if not or you want something different I say GMMG. Of course I am very biased, ask anyone.

My Review of GMMG: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=221456

If money is not an option, which it wasnt specified, I'd go with GMMG. If you are on a budget get a used one.

If money is no option I say get Corsa with the premium tips. That is a bad *** sounding exhaust, I haven't heard of one person that does not like the sound.

That said, get a set of Jethot headers with EGR and AIR on it then get a couple of SLP high flow cats welded on the Y pipe.

Do you need to pass a visual with emissions? If you do, LTs will move the cat back farther if you keep it.

First of all if you have clearance problems DO NOT GET LONG TUBES!.it aint worth messing up your s***!

this is my setup and i LOVE IT

BORLA CAT-BACK /AS&M HEADERS AND Y-PIPE(JUST GOT IN )

And if you have the money get some random tech. high flow cats!

Well I already have an SLP 2OTL 3" catback.. so I wont be changing that.. the gain wont be worth the money.

I was originaly going to go with JetHot LT, then two cut-outs, then a custom y-pipe that converges to a single cat, then to my 3" cat back.

Now would the dual cut outs really be worth anything? If I go with dual cut outs I'll then have to get O2 sims for the rear sensors.. if I don't go with the cut outs I could just put dual cats in and not have to worry about the O2 sims.

What do you guys suggest about that? I wanted cut-outs for the sound and for going to the track, but maybe their not worth it?

EDIT: I don't think I will have clearance problems... my car is stock height.. except, I'm not sure, but didn't my 96 SS come with 3/4" lowering springs from SLP as part of the package? Someone correct me if I'm wrong..

Thanks
