Re: I called Comp Cams to get info and...
Got a few question about cams also on Lt1's...do you have to change the heads if your gonna change the cam or just recomended?
I will soon be doing roller rockers(Gold Crane 1.6) got them at a good price so i jumped on them..but then realise, since im there might as well do a cam.
But in the future I would like to go S/C...so from what ive been reading, i need a 'blower cam' for maximum power and obviously i don't wanna buy a cam twice...any suggestion on a particular cam?
Btw what do the number stand for? eg:265 Dual Energy?

Must have been the mass that he was talking about.

Not a problem. There are a lot of reasons why they are good springs and there is some odd information out there on them but all in all they are good pieces. Thanks to spring wire purity levels that we have today it's not a bad thing to run a single spring anymore. Duals do give you a little extra protection but that does come with added mass and usually lower quality spring material unless you REALLY want to spend money.

A blower cam is much different from a NA cam. You could have a cam that does both but not both well.
Cams aren't cheap but realtive to a good blower setup they are. $260-$350 for a cam which makes the motor work optimally for your setup is really not a bad way to go.
