HyperTech power Programer

I am seeing a lot of these On E-bay.
I've heard they can only be used on ONE car, and after that they can only be used on the car it was first hooked up to. And Never to any other cars after that.

Is there any truth to that?

As long as the stock program was reloaded in the car before the Hypertech was sold you'll be fine.

Tunercat.. cheaper and not VIN specific..
Hypertech is OK for fan temp, gear or tire changes, shift points rev limiter etc... not for 'power tuning' tho..

If you buy a Hypertech, don't buy it new, there are plenty of them out there in For Sale forums for about 1/2 price.

I am really liking that LT1 edit software.
Looks like a lot of good features.
Anything Else out there that might compete with that?

I already posted above...
Tunercat.. cheaper than, and not VIN specific like LT1 edit [meaning you can use it on more than one car]
see:

Only good for OBDI cars tho[you don't say what yr yours is...]

Yeah, I tried to get Tunercat first as it was a ton cheaper, but they don't offer anything for OBDII. LT1 Edit for OBDII was pricey, but there isn't a ton of options.
