Okay, so I've been working over a set of aluminum 643 castings to modify and put on my '88 sbc. Sticking with the stock 1.94/1.5 valves.

Anyways, here's a few pics. Tips/criticisms welcomed.

Not that I've ever ported any heads before, but from this picture of my head's exhaust port it looks like you could take more material away from around the valvestem seal.

 

Ah I see. That looks CNC machined though. I'll see what I can do.

 

Its really funny when you recognize parking lots that other people do burnouts in lol ... just sayin howdy to a local.

I believe gasket matching is not what you want to accomplish. Instead open up the runner further down so you have a uniform shape all the way to the bowl. If you gasket match then the port will taper down to the bowl and thats not going to help flow numbers. Also, if you gasket match then you really need to open up the intake port was well because the head and the intake ports wont line up correctly.
