How's the dang water pump come off?

I'm takin my wrecked car apart, and I took out the four bolts on the sides of the pump that look like they'd be holding it on.... but it still won't come off. Is there a trick to get it off? Am I missin a bolt?

You're missing 2 bolts actually. Look carefully and you'll see them. They should be on the sides. (one of them is underneath the pulley if I remember right)

There is actually 6 bolts holding the water pump on there. # on each side, the farthest one on each side is pretty far back compared to the other ones. I have to remove the bolts holding the Power Steering pulley to get to one of them.

Just use the right socket and extension and the one behind the pulley will come out without taking the pump out.

Actually you're missing 2 fasteners. There should be 3 fasteners on each side of the pump. Take a look at the gasket and you'll know.

lol, I see one of them now, I'll hafta do some searching for the other. The engine bay is so dirty from grime and sh*t from the wreck it's hard to even see the damn bolts!

Grid,

Awfully off-topic here, but.. how in the hell did you survive that wreck? Are you completely uninjured and whatnot? That car looks like hell man, I'm glad you're not the one in pieces, even though you've lost a *sweet* ride. :\
